This CD/DVD was released in 2008, and sees The Parlotones recorded live and unplugged. Disc 1 is the CD of the live show, featuring twenty of their best songs off their first three albums, while Disc 2 is the DVD of the same live show, plus a documentary of their European tour.
The usage of their song "Beautiful" in the Irish Fujifilm commercial led to world wide deal with Universal Music.
Never before has a South African rock band been signed in a multi territory deal by a major label and not just any Major but the worlds biggest. The most significant factor of this deal is that The Parlotones were signed out of South Africa and not by having lived in The UK.
This will hopefully put the spotlight on South African rock. The Parlotones are currently riding the crest of a seemingly endless wave with their amazing album A World Next Door To Yours, which is the follow-up to the 2006 SAMA Award winning RadioControlledRobot.
