In die gees van ware rock´n´roll, sal No Quarter jou siel voed met, soms reguit, soms gekompliseerde donker en emosie belaaide lirieke en kitaar riffs.
No Quarter is die naam van Johnathan Martin se nuwe rock groep. Johnathan is hoegenaamd nie ´n vreemdeling in die SA musiek industrie nie en is al langer as ´n dekade ´n sanger en kitaar speler vir Piet Botha se legendariese rock groep, Jack Hammer. Die ander lid van No Quarter wat ook geen vreemdeling is nie, Tertius du Plessis, is al vir baie jare die baskitaar speler van Jack Hammer.
Die ander lede van die groep is Leslie Stuart op tromme en agtergrond sang en Aidan Martin op kitaar. Jay Bolton het bygedra met sang op die album.
Die debuut album In My Blood bevat sewe oorspronklike snitte en drie verwerkinge van onderskeidelik Bob Dylan, Neil Young en Nick Drake.
Die oorspronklike snitte is meestal "old school hard rock" behalwe vir die uitmuntende akoestiese snit "Everything and Nothing". "Scars on my guitar" is ´n liedjie wat raak, meesleur...en lirieke het wat in jou kop aanhou draai lank nadat die musiek opgehou speel het.
Die titel snit "In My Blood" word die beste beskryf deur Johnathan self; "The song is for everyone who has a dream or an idea and the message is to keep believing in that dream and to hold on to it tightly. It doesn´t matter what anyone says to you. You cannot deny who it is that you are, you need to believe in yourself. It´s in your blood".
No Quarter se invloede is kenmerkend Led Zeppelin, Guns ´n Roses, Miles Davis, Pearl Jam ens MAAR wees versekerd, hulle is uniek en vra...no quarter...van enige iemand nie
Tussen deur die donkerte is daar positiewe boodskappe van hoop in die album, weereens so tipies van ware rock.
Voed jou siel. Rock´n´Roll sal nooit uitsterf nie.
