Mike Fuller Music Records, which brought you such hit artists as Hotline, PJPowers, Rebecca Malope, Mercy Pakela, Ali Katt and others, now brings you its latest discovery: the talented Amantombazana (A Zulu name meaning "The Girls").
AMANTOMBAZANA "The Girls" is an dynamic new group of nine attractive young women, drawn from various cultures and different corners of our country, singing beautifully. As live performers they dance with verve and energy, captivating hearts and getting everyone up and dancing through playing appropriate traditional instruments and wearing relevant colourful costumes.
The CD contains eleven new tracks with a fresh new approach to some much-loved traditional tunes, presented by producer Sizwe Zako who is well-known for his compositions and productions for gospel queen Rebecca Malope.
Here is something new and different to enhance the South African music scene that is always looking for the next big thing. Young though they are, Amantombazana are determined to shine a light on their African heritage, and are optimistic that their music and performances will assist in educating our society and giving it an insight into how things were in the past.
They certainly seem to have the talent and dedication that it takes to make it in this business, and this their debut CD is testimony to their musical and vocal abilities.
